About Kilmarnock
A vibrant town in East Ayrshire in Scotland with a great heritage. Proud
of its local football team Kilmarnock FC the town has many sights worth
paying a visit to as well as a good nightlife scene.
There are a few good pubs and restaurants in Kilmarnock, most of which are
situated on the main street. Restraints include the usual thoroughfare like
Indian and Chinese restaurants as well as a nice Weatherspoons pub, which
sells food. There are a couple of clubs but for a good night why not try
the young farmers dance which is usually held in the grand hall about once
a month.
There are also a number of shops in the town centre itself for those looking
to go on a shopping spree or to buy souvenirs for the family.
Johnny Walker Whiskey is brewed in Kilmarnock, started in 1820 by a young
boy called Johnny Walker who dreamed of blending the perfect whiskey, so
for a good day out why not try a tour round the brewery.
